Want to know about me? I’m Sophie, a stage 2 Lipedema sufferer from Manchester in the UK.
Having spent all my teenage and adult years hating my legs, I decided enough was enough last summer. As I reached my late twenties, I not only hated the physical appearance of them, but I also had daily heaviness and pain too. I knew something wasn’t right.
I managed to get a Lipedema diagnosis in the UK at the end of 2022, and then also in Spain in early 2023. In October 2023, I had WAL liposuction surgery on my lower legs.
I’m documenting it all to help other women who suspect they might have Lipedema, or those who already have a diagnosis. From surgery, to diet and everything in-between.
