Dr Edwin Anthony
Dr Edwin Anthony is a London-based cosmetic surgeon and the Lead Clinician and Medical Director at Contoura Medical. He focuses on the surgical management of Lipedema, VASER liposuction, gynaecomastia correction and skin tightening after fat removal.
Dr Anthony received his medical degrees (MB BCh BAO) from Trinity College Dublin. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS). He spent around eight years in NHS surgical training, including posts in plastic and reconstructive surgery units at Barts and The London, St George’s, Broomfield and Guy’s and St Thomas’.
Lipedema reduction surgery is one of Dr Anthony’s main areas of interest. He is a physician member of the International Lipoedema Association (ILA) and a clinician member of Lipoedema UK. He is also a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Surgeons.
For Lipedema patients, he uses VASER (ultrasound-assisted) liposuction. This can be combined with skin-tightening technologies such as QuantumRF, Renuvion and BodyTite where loose skin is a concern.
